Crystal Palace have been deducted one point from their end of season total for fielding an ineligible player on the final day of the Coca-Cola Championship campaign.
The Football League's independent Football Disciplinary Commission made the ruling following Rui Fonte's substitute appearance in the goalless draw against Sheffield United at Selhurst Park on May 3.
Fonte came on after 55 minutes in that game, despite his loan from Arsenal having expired prior to kick off.
Palace remain in 15th position in the table but on a reduced total of 56 points.
The south London club have also been fined £20,000, of which £15,000 is suspended for one full season.
