Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has refused to rule out extending Martyn Waghorn's loan spell at the club.

The Sunderland midfielder has impressed during his time at the Foxes, which is due to run out on January 11.

Pearson would not answer questions on Waghorn's future but did praise the 19-year-old's recent performances.

"There is always a possibility, but I am not going to make any comments on players coming in and out," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"I am very pleased with his form, as I am with all the team at this time. I think we are playing well and he is playing his part in that."
