Chris Perry accepts "no-one´s guaranteed a place" in Charlton´s line-up, but intends to make himself invaluable to manager Alan Curbishley and earn a new deal. The 32-year-old centre-back has made the most of injuries and suspensions to others to stake a claim for a regular first-team place and scored in last week´s 3-0 victory at Middlesbrough."I know injuries have kind of thrown this defence of me, Hermann (Hreidarsson), Chris Powell and Luke Young together, but I think we´ve defended well," he said. "Once you´re in the side and you do well, you give yourself a good chance of staying in - everyone´s under pressure this season, no-one´s guaranteed a place."
