New Plymouth striker Kenny Cooper hopes his move to Home Park will help him make the USA's World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old is set to make his Championship debut at home to West Brom on Saturday after joining on loan from 1860 Munich until the end of the season.

Cooper, who has won 10 caps for the US, said: "I have had some time with the national team over the last couple of years and it has left me hungry for more of those experiences.

"I feel there's a great opportunity to play [at Plymouth] and do well. Hopefully that will translate into opportunities with the national team."
