QPR have signed Peterborough left-back Tommy Williams on loan until the new year.

The 29-year-old, who has had two previous spells with Rangers, has put pen to paper on a deal until January 4 after Posh manager Darren Ferguson signed Dagenham defender Scott Griffiths last month.

"When we heard that Tommy might be available on loan, there was no holding us back," QPR boss Jim Magilton told the club's official website.

"We couldn't be more delighted to bring in a player of his calibre and experience."

Williams, whose contract at London Road expires this summer, said: "I enjoyed my time here previously and I can't wait to pull on the jersey and hopefully cement my place in the side.

"There's a very strong squad of players here, but the club's ambitions match my own and I genuinely believe we can build on the fantastic start the lads have made to the season."
