Reading have warned Steve Sidwell he will not be guaranteed first-team football if he departs the Madejski Stadium for one of the Barclays Premiership big guns. The Royals are resigned to losing Sidwell, who can leave on a free transfer after Sunday´s trip to Blackburn, despite offering to increase his wages to around £25,000 per week."He knows what he has got at Reading. We´ve been really competitive this year and he has been an integral part of that team," Reading director of football Nicky Hammond told the Reading Chronicle. "He has been a mainstay of the side and I imagine, for him, that is imperative wherever he goes. But he´s not likely to find that situation easy to come by at another club."
