Brendan Rodgers has revealed Marek Matejovsky will feature for Reading against Leicester after impressing in the reserves midweek.

The Czech Republic midfielder was dropped following the 3-2 defeat at Peterborough on September 19 and has not even been included in the squad for three of the past five games.

However, Matejovsky put in a solid performance at Swansea on Wednesday and Rodgers will hand him a place in the squad on Monday.

"It's been a wee bit frustrating for him, but there is absolutely no doubt he has qualities," Rodgers told his club's official website.

"We wanted to get him some game time for the reserves, he and a number of players did really well in the game, and he's in contention for Monday night.

"The reserves played very, very well and we will look forward to him being involved."
