Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll praised striker James Hayter after he made amends for a penalty miss with a second-half equaliser that earned Rovers a 1-1 draw at home to Bristol City.
Hayter fired straight at former England goalkeeper David James from the penalty spot in the 56th minute, but popped up in the box 12 minutes later to head home in fine style.
O'Driscoll said: "That's typical of James. There was no danger of him hiding after missing the penalty."
He added: "He accepted responsibility when he took it in the first place and he was there when we needed him to head in the equaliser.
"I thought we handled the disappointments in the game very well. We gave a bad goal away and missed a spot-kick but we didn't let it rattle us.
"We kept playing the right way and we gained our reward. It was a match we might have won but that's been the case on more than one occasion this season so I'm thankful we got a point."
City boss Keith Millen said: "Doncaster like to keep possession of the ball and can be difficult to play against but I was pleased with the way we coped.
"We started well and I always thought they were there for the taking on the counter-attack.
"Having said that, they put us under pressure in the second half and we were hanging on at times so at the end of the day I'll take the draw."
