QPR captain Martin Rowlands is hoping to return from his cruciate ligament injury early next season.
The 30-year-old midfielder is making steady progress since damaging his anterior cruciate ligament against Derby in January.
"The knee is getting better all the time," he told Rangers' official website. "It's been three months or so since I picked up the injury, but I'm making progress all the time."
He added: "I'm hopeful I'll be back somewhere around the start of the season. I'm not going to put a date on it just in case I suffer any setbacks, but hopefully I should be back somewhere around the start of the new campaign."
