Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has hailed striker Jason Scotland as he closes in on a goalscoring milestone.

Scotland has hit 49 goals since signing from St Johnstone for just £25,000 in July 2007 and has already reached 20 goals in the Championship.

Martinez said: "Having watched Jason in training every day, I really believe he hasn't hit his peak yet."

He added: "There are 10 games left and I'm convinced Jason can take his game to an even higher level.

"For any striker to score 20 goals at Championship level is an outstanding achievement and shouldn't be underestimated."
