Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins was furious with referee Jonathan Moss after his side's 3-1 home defeat by West Brom.
Adkins saw his side concede two second-half penalties and go down to nine men as the Baggies ultimately eased to victory. A Graham Dorrans brace and a Gianni Zuiverloon strike sealed victory for Albion, while Rob Jones scored the only goal for Scunthorpe, who had Andrew Wright and Grant McCann sent off.
"I have to be careful what I say or else money will come out of my pocket," Adkins said. "I know the referee does not have access to technology when he is making his decisions."
He added: "But I have looked at both penalties on the DVD, the first was a good challenge and with the second both players made contact with the ball at the same time.
"We also had a player sent off on Boxing Day at Middlesbrough and these decisions are very disappointing."
