Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock revealed West Ham striker Freddie Sears rejected a number of other offers in favour of a move to Selhurst Park.

Sears will spend the 2009/10 campaign on loan with the Eagles after making 22 appearances in the Premier League last season for the Hammers.

Warnock told the club's official website: "Even after he had agreed to join us he received another couple of decent offers from other clubs."

He added: "But he stayed true to his word and will be joining the lads at Beckenham this Wednesday for our pre-season preparations."
