Blackpool have signed Plymouth defender Marcel Seip on a one-month loan and he could make his debut in Tuesday's trip to Bristol City.

Seasiders boss Ian Holloway was forced into the transfer market after injuries to Neal Eardley and Rob Edwards during Saturday's 2-0 win against Peterborough.

Seip, who has made over 100 appearances for Plymouth since being signed by Holloway from Heerenveen in 2006, was put on the transfer list by current boss Paul Sturrock after a dressing-room bust-up in August.

Holloway, who signed Seip for the Pilgrims, said: "I'm delighted to have Marcel with us, he is a good solid player and he will give us another option in defence."
