Sheffield Wednesday have agreed to extend striker Akpo Sodje's loan spell at Charlton until January 9.

Sodje has made four appearances for the Addicks since initially arriving at The Valley in mid-November on a 28-day stay.

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson had already hinted he would like to keep the 28-year-old, who has scored two goals for the Londoners, for longer, although the Owls have insisted on a 24-hour recall clause.

Sodje, who has struggled with a succession of long-term injuries in recent seasons, has teamed up with brother Sam at Charlton and former Wednesday team-mate Deon Burton.
