Preston defender Sean St Ledger has expressed his disappointment at being denied the opportunity to join Scottish giants Celtic.

It would have been massive for me had I had the opportunity, but I didn't. "The club didn't accept the bid but it would have been nice if [Preston chairman Derek Shaw] had returned my calls."
