Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele has signed a new two-year contract with the club to keep him at Oakwell until June 2011.

The 24-year-old initially joined on an emergency loan in February 2008 before eventually completing a permanent move to the Championship side three months later.

Steele has also enjoyed spells with Peterborough, Manchester United, Coventry, West Brom and Coventry.
