Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele is determined to make the number one jersey his own after signing a new two-year contract at Oakwell.
Steele spent the majority of last season as understudy to Heinz Muller but has the chance to become first-choice keeper following the German`s departure this summer.
"I did question my future here last season because I was not getting any football but circumstances changed and I felt I wanted to sign again," he told the Tykes` official website.
"It`s nice to have the chance to play again but I know I have a lot of hard work to get through to make sure I stay in the team," he added.
