Former Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has been handed a suspended one-match touchline ban by the Football Association.
Boothroyd was sent to the stands by referee Stuart Attwell during the 2-2 Coca-Cola Championship draw with Reading on September 20 after protesting against the award of a throw-in against his side.
The match was made infamous by Attwell's earlier award of the 'phantom goal' against Boothroyd's side and he admitted a charge of improper conduct at a hearing this afternoon.
The suspended ban will be activated should Boothroyd be found guilty of a similar offence before the end of the season.
Boothroyd left the Hornets last week after a disappointing start to the season.
