Taylor targets Lennon

By PA Sport  June 21, 2006
Crystal Palace manager Peter Taylor has confirmed he wants to bring Celtic skipper Neil Lennon to Selhurst Park.

The Irishman, who will be 35 on Sunday, is out of contract this summer and he has yet to re-sign for the Parkhead club. Lennon briefly worked with Taylor at Leicester and the new Palace boss, who took over from Iain Dowie at the south London club, revealed he is interested in renewing their partnership.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan believes Lennon will stay at Parkhead, saying: "Neil will be here on Friday." But Taylor told the Daily Record: "I always regretted selling Lenny to Celtic six years ago."
