Midfielder Filipe Teixeira's days with West Brom look numbered with the Portuguese player indicating that he wants to leave The Hawthorns.

Teixeira experienced a frustrating second season with the Baggies as he was unable to force his way back into the starting line-up following a cruciate ligament injury.

Teixeira said: "I have one more year left on my contract, but I don't want to stay. I am hoping something comes up, something interesting. I would look upon a change positively, because I was not used much at Albion last year."

Defender Paul Robinson and record signing Borja Valero have also indicated their future may lie away from Albion.

Robinson looked set to move to Wigan two years ago only to fail a medical but now Bolton, Portsmouth and Celtic are being linked with a move for the former Watford player.

Skipper Jonathan Greening pledged his future to the Baggies but that was before manager Tony Mowbray decided to leave and move to Celtic as their new manager.

Albion are now stepping up their search to replace Mowbray with Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson a strong candidate

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes, a former Albion player, is also believed to be a possible target.
