West Brom are closing in on the signing of former Charlton and Portsmouth winger Jerome Thomas.
The 26-year-old has held discussions with the Baggies and is ready to become Roberto Di Matteo's latest summer signing.
Thomas had spent time on trial at Premier League clubs Hull and Wolves during pre-season after being released by Pompey at the end of the last campaign.
The former England Under-21 winger spent four years at Charlton, making more than 100 appearances and scoring seven times, before moving to the south coast in January.
But Thomas made just two substitute appearances for Portsmouth after falling out of favour with new manager Paul Hart.
