Hull secured the loan signing of Leicester striker Martyn Waghorn late on transfer deadline day.

The 21-year-old, who came through the academy system at Sunderland, will stay at the KC Stadium until January after finding first-team opportunities limited under new Foxes boss Sven-Goran Eriksson.

He has been reunited with manager Nigel Pearson, who brought him to Leicester on loan before the player later made the move permanent.

Meanwhile, striker Jay Simpson joined Championship rivals Millwall on loan until January.

The former Arsenal player has made just two substitute appearances in the league this season.

Simpson spent a season-long loan with the Lions in 2007/08 and won the PFA fans' player of the year award.
