Martyn Waghorn would be more than happy to extend his loan spell at Leicester until the end of the season.

The Sunderland striker has featured mainly off the bench for the Foxes this term having joined in the summer. He is expected to return to Wearside in January but Waghorn insists if the opportunity arose he would be willing to stay at the Walkers Stadium.

"It would be a wrench to leave as long as I'm enjoying it," the 19-year-old told the Daily Mirror. "I don't know what is happening at the minute but I would definitely be happy to stay. I like the club and enjoy being with the lads. So I don't see why I wouldn't stay if the chance was there."
