Plymouth midfielder Simon Walton has ruled out the possibility of a return to Championship rivals Blackpool.

The 21-year-old had a loan spell at Bloomfield Road towards the end of last season.

But he told the Gazette: "I did all right at Blackpool and I impressed in training but I haven't had any contact with anyone so I don't think anything is going to happen there."

He added: "The caretaker manager (Tony Parkes) and his staff who dealt with me have all gone so I think that door is closed now.

"The only thing to do is to get back down to Plymouth on July 1 and work my tail off until somebody tells me differently."
