Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock admits he is unlikely to be able to land on-loan defender Claude Davis on a permanent basis next season.
Davis returned from a hamstring injury to help Palace get back to winning ways with a 2-1 success over Preston on Saturday. But the towering centre-half will head back to Derby at the end of the campaign with money tight at Selhurst Park.
"We couldn't afford his wages for next season and we couldn't afford the transfer fee," said Warnock.
"I think we have just got to be realistic and enjoy him while we have got him."
