Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is hoping to bolster his squad with another striker despite chairman Simon Jordan insisting no more players would come in.

Palace, who were recently under a transfer embargo, can now bring in players again but last week Jordan insisted there would be no signings due to the current financial climate. Yet manager Warnock is hopeful he can bring someone in if he can balance the books by offloading a few fringe players.

"I don't think it's 100% that no one will be coming in during the transfer window," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

"I'm still looking around for another striker. If I get a few of the fringe players out on loan then I think I can talk Simon into it.

"It's pretty clear that we could do with someone who can find the net on a regular basis."
