England Under-21 goalkeeper Scott Loach has spoken of his delight at signing a new contract with Watford.
Highly-rated Loach ended speculation over his future earlier this week when he signed an extension to keep him at Vicarage Road until 2013.
Loach had constantly been linked with a move away, but he told the club's official website: "Obviously I'm delighted. There's been a lot of speculation about me staying at the club, but at the end of the day I want to play games and I'm only 21."
The young shot-stopper revealed his decision was based largely on the success he has enjoyed under current boss Malky Mackay and a feeling that he was at the right club to improve and get games under his belt.
"I'm at a great club with a great young management team," Loach added. "If I can stay here while they develop and help me then it will be good. I want to continue to rack up games at Watford, and that`s all I've ever wanted to do.
"Malky put me straight back into the squad when Aidy (Boothroyd) had gone, he's always had faith in me. I'm thankful for everything and I just want to stay here and keep playing."
