On-loan striker Heidar Helguson admits he is desperate to stay at Watford beyond his current deal.

The 32-year-old, who is on loan from QPR, has scored 11 goals since rejoining the Hornets this season and is desperate to earn a permanent contract.

"I've spent the majority of my time in England here, I've got a good rapport with the fans and everyone here," he told the Watford Observer.

"I suppose I've played my best football here, so staying up does mean a lot to me. I'd like to stay here."
