Martin Taylor is in line to make his Watford debut against Sheffield United.

The centre-half could go straight into the Hornets rearguard after arriving on a free transfer from Birmingham last week.

Midfielder Stephen McGinn, another new arrival from St Mirren, was an unused substitute at Blackpool last time out and will also hope to make his debut.

But a third January signing, former Rochdale winger Will Buckley, will not figure as he has suffered a thigh strain.

Striker Danny Graham is expected to be fit after a slight knee injury.

The Hornets are desperately trying to ensure the game goes ahead after their undersoil heating broke at the weekend, forcing the match against Swansea to be called off.

Sheffield United are set to include new signing Nyron Nosworthy in their squad.

But the Blades will be without a second transfer deadline day signing, Toni Kallio, who did not complete his loan move in time to feature.

Nosworthy, who signed from Sunderland on loan until the end of the season, could go straight into the Blades' starting line-up as fellow central defenders Marcel Seip (hamstring) and Andrew Taylor (hamstring) are both ruled out.

Blades manager Kevin Blackwell is hoping Lee Williamson, on the bench at West Brom on Saturday, has shaken off a hamstring injury, while recent signing Mark Yeates is hoping to make his first start since arriving from Middlesbrough.

Strikers Henri Camara and Ched Evans are both pushing for returns to the starting line-up as the Blades look to bounce back from Saturday's 3-1 defeat at The Hawthorns.
