Blackburn Rovers are one of the three founder members of both the Football League and the Premier League, the others being Aston Villa and Everton. They were established in 1875 and in 1890 Rovers moved to their permanent home – Edwood Park. Until the formation of the Premier League in 1992, the majority of Rovers' success came in the pre-1930s, when they won the league and the FA Cup on several occasions. Their relegation in 1966 was then followed by 26 successive seasons outside the top flight. However, in 1995, under the guidance of manager Kenny Dalglish, who was bankrolled by wealthy chairman Jack Walker, Blackburn Rovers won the Premiership title with Blackburn players Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton forming a formable partnership up front. Givemefootball.com brings you the latest Blackburn Rovers news and exclusive player interviews.
