Beckham remains out in the cold

By PA Sport  January 26, 2007
David Beckham remains out of favour with Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello.

The 31-year-old former England captain has been frozen out of the first team since it was announced that he will join the Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the season.

There had been speculation that he would be recalled for Sunday´s trip to Villarreal after Capello had appeared to soften his stance. However, Beckham, who has struggled this week with a quadriceps injury, was once again omitted by the Italian coach when he announced his squad on Friday.
