Marc-Antoine Fortune has joined Ligue 1 club Nancy from FC Utrecht.The 25-year-old striker had been offered a two-year contract extension until June 2011 by the Eredivisie club, but turned down the new deal in order to return to his homeland."We absolutely could not keep him here anymore," chairman Jan Willem van Dop told club website, www.fcutrecht.nl. "Although we thought on Monday that Marco would stay here, Nancy suited Fortune both on a sporting and financial front. We regret that Marco has to leave, but we did everything we could to keep him here."
