Frankfurt take Takahara from HSV

Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed a fee, believed to be around the million euro mark, with Hamburg for Japanese striker Naohiro Takahara.

The 26-year-old, who was on Monday called into Japan´s squad for this summer´s World Cup, has agreed a three-year contract with the Hessen side, who avoided relegation to the second division by three points this season.

He is Eintracht´s third new signing this summer, joining Albert Streit from Cologne and Michael Fink from Arminia Bielefeld.
