Italy coach Marcello Lippi named his squad for the 2006 World Cup on Monday with Filippo Inzaghi of AC Milan and Udinese´s Vincenzo Iaquinta both getting a late call.
Those two men were widely perceived to be fighting over the last striking berth but ended up both being included with Cristiano Lucarelli of Livorno missing out.
Italy have been drawn with the Czech Republic, the United States and Ghana in the group stages.
