Felix Magath has revealed how he offered to resign as coach of Bayern Munich at the end of last season, despite leading the club to a league and cup double.Magath was sacked last Wednesday after the defending champions slipped to fourth in the Bundesliga on the back of a defeat and a draw in the first two games of 2007.The pressure was so much that he even told general manager Uli Hoeness that he would step down last summer. "But he did not want that," Magath told Stern magazine. "He said ´No, I´m not letting you go´."
