Udinese fought back from a goal behind to stun Panathinaikos with two late strikes and put themselves within touching distance of a place in the Champions League knockout stage. The Italians looked to be heading for a disappointing defeat until two goals in three minutes towards the end of the match from Vincenzo Iaquinta and Vincent Candela broke Panathinaikos´ hearts and condemned them to a 2-1 defeat.Iaquinta, a hat-trick hero in the corresponding fixture in September, prodded home a close-range equaliser to cancel out Kostantinos Haralambidis´ first-half opener before Candela clinched what had seemed an unlikely win for the men from Udine seven minutes from time with a superb long-range strike.
