Clohessy set for Salisbury stay

Gillingham full-back Sean Clohessy has agreed a deal to stay with Salisbury until the end of the season.

Clohessy, 22, has been with the Blue Square Premier club for three months and although he has now returned to Priestfield after completing his maximum 93-day emergency loan, he will return to Wiltshire on January 1.

The former Arsenal trainee is out of contract at the end of the season so looks to have played his final game for the club.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed they will not be appealing captain Barry Fuller's red card against Brentford, meaning he must serve a three-match ban.

That leaves manager Mark Stimson with a major problem at right-back, as although Nicky Southall could fill in against Dagenham and Wycombe in the league, the veteran midfielder is cup-tied for the FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on January 4.

Stimson will also be without club captain Mark Bentley against Wycombe after he was booked for the fifth time this season against the Bees on Saturday.
