Bradford boss Stuart McCall felt his side's FA Cup win over MK Dons shows they are ready to compete at a higher level.

Omar Daley put the visitors ahead early on but Jemal Johnson equalised before Bradford secured a 2-1 victory with Graeme Lee's late free-kick.

"I told the lads this is the level we want to be at next season so let's go and show we can play against players from League One and I think everyone did that and it was a great result," said McCall.

"We always create chances with the players we've got but we've been conceding too many goals and I thought as a team we worked ever so hard.

"We got blocks in, we stopped crosses and I thought it was an all-round defensively strong performance.

"I think with the depleted numbers we had and with MK Dons on a great run, we were the underdogs. The performance was fantastic and getting into the next round is a bonus."

Bradford have been handed a home tie against Leyton Orient in the second round.
