Jonjo Shelvey became Charlton's youngest-ever goalscorer as the Addicks drew 1-1 with Norwich in the FA Cup third round - and manager Phil Parkinson is confident he will be able to keep him at the club.
Shelvey, 16, struck a terrific first-half opener and a clutch of Premier League sides have been monitoring his progress in recent months.
Parkinson said: "He just loves football and he deserved his chance to play in this one because he did well earlier in the season. But he is only 16 and we have to be careful when and how we play him."
He added; "He is a big asset to us and will be a top player. I'm sure we can keep hold of him, there haven't been any calls yet."
