Winners:Micah RichardsHaving played just once under Capello during his four year tenure, despite his club form having dramatically improved, Richards will be looking forward to there being a clean slate.

Stuart PearceThe Under-21 boss has earned the opportunity to add his name to the shortlist for the England manager’s job when he takes charge against Holland at the end of the month. To take charge during Euro 2012 will be first aim.

David BernsteinThe FA have long being looking for leadership, after following Capello's departure, Bernstein has his first opportunity to lead from the front. Their stance over John Terry was strong and decisive, and their recruitment drive is likely to be thorough.

Losers:Darren BentBent was heavily criticised by Redknapp for missing a late chance against Portsmouth three years ago, claiming his wife could have scored. Bent left five months later and has since become England's No.1 poacher.

Tottenham HotspurAfter taking over the reigns at White Hart Lane with Spurs bottom of the league, Harry Redknapp has propelled Spurs into the title race via the Champions League quarter-finals.

He's built maybe the best starling XI in the division, but without him will they be the same swashbuckling force?

Foreign managersThe FA have said an English or British manager would be preferred as Capello's replacement.

Apart from the FA's desire to match those countries on the continent, the English public has seemingly had enough of the recent foreign influx with Sven Goran Eriksson and Capello having endured limited success. Even the talented trio of Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti will struggle to be considered.
