England women's goalkeeper Leanne Hall hasexperienced the ups and downs of life in thepast year - suffering a broken leg while playingfor her club side Leeds United,but landing aprestigious role with Sheffield Wednesday'sFootball in the Community.

Leanne,who has 10 international caps,has beenappointed by the Hillborough club to look afterthe ladies' and girls' side of the game,and joins ateam of coaches led by Football in theCommunity officer Steve Adams.

"People have been asking us for a long timeabout goalkeeper coaching and this will helpmeet the demand," Steve admits. "With herpedigree she can only benefit our work withlocal women footballers."



The Owls 'long-serving' keeper Kevin Pressmanwelcomed Leanne to the club and praisedher potential as a coach. "I've worked withLeanne and she knows her stuff," he said. "Iwouldn't hesitate to recommend youngstersto go along to any of her sessions."

It's an appointment which underlines Wednesday'sdetermination to bounce back from relegation."It just means that we have to work that littlebit harder," says Steve," but we keep on withthe job in hand,and Leanne's appointment isbound to help in that respect."

Football in the Community have recentlybeen running activities ranging from 5-a-sideto computer games,with "mini-kicker" sessionsfor those aged four to six. Along with theMcDonalds Match Day Club,it all adds up toexciting times for the youngsters at Hillsborough.
