Carlos Tevez has threatened to quit the Argentine national side due to continuing criticism levelled at the players and squad in general.Argentina finished fourth in the South American World Cup qualifying group, taking the final automatic place in the continent courtesy of a final game deciding victory in Uruguay.Diego Maradona has also come in for huge criticism, making wholesale team changes on a gamely basis and suffering generally poor results, including a 6-1 defeat in Bolivia, until the final two games of the group. The Manchester City striker said: "When I play for Argentina I spend more time suffering than enjoying myself."Tevez continued: "Sometimes I think about quitting the national team. Why should I come to Argentina and have a bad time? The fans insulted us, the journalists criticised everything... I'm tired of all that.”Powered by: GiveMeFootball.com, the latest football news
