Wolves were on Saturday poised to complete the signing of Hearts captain Christophe Berra after the defender was given permission to talk to the Coca-Cola Championship leaders.
The Jambos have decided to sell Berra after agreeing a fee reportedly in the region of £2.3million.
The Scotland international was set to travel to the midlands on Saturday to discuss personal terms and a Tynecastle spokesperson said: "Hearts have given Christophe permission to talk to Wolves, and he does so with our blessing."
