Derby defender Mitch Hanson has signed a new contract to keep him at Pride Park until the summer of 2011.
The 20-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of the season but he has now put pen to paper to extend his stay by another two years.
Derby-born Hanson made his senior debut for his hometown club as a late substitute in the Rams' Carling Cup win at Brighton in November.
The academy product then embarked upon a loan spell at Notts County until the turn of the year where he played five matches for the League Two club.
