Goals from Nani, John O'Shea, Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo booked Manchester United's place in the Carling Cup final with a 4-3 aggregate victory over Derby at Old Trafford.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Nani fired in a fierce opener from long range in the 16th minute, O'Shea slotted a second six minutes later, and Tevez headed a third before half-time.
Ronaldo scored from the spot late on either side of two goals from Giles Barnes, one a penalty the other a free-kick, which gave the scoreline more credibility than the Coca-Cola Championship side warranted.
