Carlisle boss Greg Abbott has spoke of his ongoing search for players.

Abbott is keen to strengthen his side after narrowly avoiding relegation to League Two last season and is working hard to recruit new signings.

He told the club's official website: "The phone is literally stuck to my ear at the moment."

He added: "We are asking lots of questions. Some of the conversations have been favourable, some of the conversations have been unfavourable but we have nothing definite to report at this moment in time.

"We're looking for a striker and a left winger but that doesn't mean we aren't looking at other options as well."
