Charlton cemented their position at the top of Coca-Cola League One with a comfortable 2-0 win over Brentford.

The Addicks chalked up their sixth straight league win thanks to first-half goals from Deon Burton and the lively Lloyd Sam to build on the feel-good factor at The Valley.

It was an impressive display against a Brentford side who started the afternoon unbeaten and in sixth place, and confirmed why so many bookies have made Charlton favourites to charge away with the title.
