Brighton boss Russell Slade was full of praise for veteran striker Nicky Forster after he condemned Carlisle to a 2-0 defeat with a two-goal lesson in how to finish.
The 36-year-old looked razor sharp as he capitalised on weak defending for his first goal in the fourth minute, and in the second half he pounced for a second goal which put the game out of Carlisle's reach and secured Albion's first away win of the campaign.
"Nicky looked like he may get a third. He was a real thorn in Carlisle's side," said Slade.
"All the hard work we've put in in the last couple of weeks paid dividends.
"We were tactically astute in defence and always a threat on the break.
"We are continuing to get better in small steps. The season is a marathon and there are still a few things we need to improve on."
