Brentford cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory to heap more pressure on under-fire Gillingham boss Mark Stimson.

A brace apiece for Charlie MacDonald and Myles Weston clinched the points in a one-sided affair at Griffin Park.

The Bees dominated from start to finish and took just nine minutes to take the lead after Gills keeper Alan Julian brought down MacDonald in the box, the striker stepping up himself to convert from the spot.

MacDonald made it two just after the half-hour, again from the spot after Toumani Diagouraga was clipped by Mark Bentley.

Weston made it 3-0 just minutes later, drilling home inside the near post after a surging run.

The home side took their foot off the gas after the break but there was still time for Weston to complete the rout with a powerful run and low drive.

Gillingham's only real chance came when James Walker fired over from three yards after Bees keeper Wajciech Szczesny had tipped onto the woodwork.
