John Brayford is fully focused on getting Crewe promoted next season despite being linked with a move to Derby.

The former Burton defender has been tipped for a reunion with former Brewers boss Nigel Clough at Pride Park this summer.

Crewe insist there has been no contact from the Rams, who Alex say are one of three Championship club interested in signing Brayford.

Crewe's player of the year told the club's official website: "Dealing with speculation is all part and parcel of football. I am just focused on my job at Crewe and making sure we are challenging for promotion next season.

"I haven't heard anything. My aim is just to get as fit as I can and get myself ready for a tough pre-season."
